Together Again!

Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley was reunited with his eternal companion on January 27th! I hope I can still be as happy as they are when I'm that age!

The Joys of Parenthood!

I don't remember the exact date of when the first video was taken (sometime during the first week of January), but I thought it was hilarious! The second video, I had no idea was on my camera until today! Apparently, Hailey knows how to work my camera and has already made a video of herself saying cheese. I guess I'll need to hide my camera when I'm not using it!

Happy New Year!

I would have to say that this was the best and funnest New Year's Eve party I have ever been to! Maybe that's because it was at my house. :) We invited a bunch of people to come over our house, let the kids run wild (optional) and play games! We actually had people bring their kids and there were people who actually found babysitters! We had 19 adults and 10 kids! Anyway, we played a game called "The Name Game" that is hard to explain, so you have to be walked through it. Then, we played Taboo with Men vs. Women! It was fun to buzz the men even when they didn't need buzzing, but they ended up beating us anyway. I went to Party City earlier that day and bought noise makers including ones that looked like hands. My brother-in-law thought these were hilarious and decided he wanted to have a little fun with them while we were taking pictures! I couldn't resist joining in! After the new year we played Pictionary and then a couple of us played Risk. I didn't go to bed until 5am and I am still trying to get back on schedule! We have always been nightowls anyway but for those of you wondering; OF COURSE my kids made it to midnight! I was actually surprised at how many of the other kids (and some of the adults) made it until midnight! All in all, it's been the best new year's eve bash ever!

Merry Christmas!

We spent some of Christmas in Payson where my mom, dad and sister live. We drove up on Saturday the 23rd and spent the night. The boys really loved playing "Engineer" with Grandpa's train! After that, we headed to my in-laws on Monday the 24th to spend the night to be there for Christmas. Of course Grandma had to make "reindeer food" for the kids to throw in the front yard so Santa could find our house! So cute! We also decided to take on a new tradition that was taken from my sister-in-law. We decided that on Christmas eve you will have new pajamas to open and sleep in! Then on Christmas morning you can open the rest of your gifts! I thought it was a great idea and here is a picture of the kids in their new jammies this year! Christmas morning was pretty eventful including Grandma rockin'! I'm not talking about in a chair either! It was a video game that my stepbrother-in-law brought over! It was a riot! (A little noisy also!) We had fun regardless. We then let the kids open their presents and snack on junk food all day!

School Christmas Party

I was lucky enough to be able to help out all day! Man, do 22 Kindergarteners sure wear you out! I was exausted by the end of the day that I came home and took a nap. Now I know why that first week of school David did the same thing! Anyway, at 9am they all went to the cafeteria for a sing along. (Can you say, "public school chaos?") At about 10am they came back to the classroom and had a cupcake and made glitter trees. Then, at 11am they had a pizza party for lunch and headed outside for recess. At noon Santa came! I thought it was really funny because when we had our ward christmas party David knew that it was his grandpa. Today at school, he couldn't keep his eyes off of this "different" Santa and smiled the whole time! It was great! He didn't even wait to be called and just got right up there and sat on his lap! Only a couple of kids were actually able to sit on his lap, but they sang "Rudolph, the Red nosed Reindeer" to him before he left. After Santa left, the kids took turns passing out the little goodies they brought from home to put in each others stockings! Off to PE at around 1pm and when they came back they made cute little reindeer hats! Somewhere between all of the fun, the office decided they wanted to do a fire drill! Some of the girls were scared and one of them was crying almost hysterically! After all of the commotion, we headed back into the classroom to gather everything together to go home! All in all, it was a pretty well behaved class considering all that was going on. I would have to say that the day was pretty good!

Monkeying Around!

All my kids like bananas, but Hailey likes to take bigger bites than she probably should. She was also trying to say cheese with the whole wad in her mouth! I thought it was pretty funny! Anyway I thought she looked like a monkey while eating it.

Ward Christmas Party

We had our ward Christmas party on Sat. at 6pm. Of course, having kids you know that they tend to run on their own schedule! Anyway, we didn't get there until 6:45pm but luckily Gordon and I had already eaten. The Primary put on a cute little presentation and David got to hold the star of David! My camera was not able to capture the "Oh, So Sweet" moment, but I was able to capture pictures of them on Santa's lap. Matthew cried last year, but Hailey was the cryer this year.
